Robert P. Anthony has been involved in Commercial Real Estate Acquisitions and Dispositions since 1989. He began consulting with WoodCreek Development Company in 2004 on contract and title issue and joined the development team in late 2005. He is currently the Director of Land Acquisitions for WoodCreek Reserve Development Company and President of LandStar Realty Advisors, Inc., full service Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Firm.
Mr. Anthony began his real estate career in 1989 with the Real Estate Information Services Company TRW/Real Estate Data Inc. He turned around a failing San Diego market and led the Western Region in sales production. Next he sold Real Estate franchises for RealtyWorld, Inc. again leading the western region in sales. RealtyWorld relocated Robert and his family to Houston in 1990. He directed sales, marketing and franchise operations for the southwestern region of the US.
In 1992 Mr. Anthony became a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent/Broker and from 1992-1995 represented 3 separate Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT’s) in multi-family acquisitions from Start-up through Initial Public Offering (IPO).
In 1995-1996, he and a partner acquired 400,000 sq. ft. of both office and office industrial properties and operated and leased the properties.
In 1996 Mr. Anthony formed a partnership to create a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) for golf course ownership, only the second of this niche property type ever created. This partnership went from concept, through “Road Show” to Initial Public Offering over the next year and Golf Trust of America (GTA/AMEX) went public in February of 1997. In June of 1997, Mr. Anthony and two principals from Golf Trust of America formed a Financial, Brokerage and Consulting firm to support Golf Trust of America as well as the golf course industry.
